RENDERING SERVICE

INTRODUCTION:

To serve is to discharge a duty or function, to hold an office, to be a helping hand, to be a servant. When you serve, you are a channel of blessing.

SCRIPTURAL STANDARD FOR SERVICE

1. We are to serve in Love. Col. 3:14, John 13:34-35.
2. We are to serve with a sincere heart. Acts 6:3, Prov. 28:20, Col. 3:22-24.
3. We are to serve acceptably and reverently. Heb.12:28, Psalm 2:11.
4. We are to serve with joy and gladness Psalm 100:2
5. We are to serve sacrificially Phil. 2:5-6, James 5:10
6. We are to serve with patience James 5:11, Heb. 6:12
7. We are to serve with humility and humor. 1 Peter 5:5-6, Phil. 2:7-8
8. We are to serve according to Gods word excellently. Dan. 6:1-3
9. We are to serve prayerfully. Phil. 4:6, Prov. 16:3

CONCLUSION:

Not all services are acceptable to God. If our service will attract God and His blessing, we must serve well.
