IS YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE

INTRODUCTION:

There is a great need to ask yourself this vital question, again and again. Is my name in the book of life? Whether you like it or not, it is essential for your name to be written in the book of life because, if your name is not found there, you will condemn to hell.

Christianity in our country today is becoming something else. There are multitudes, millions of people in the church, yet our nation is rated among the most corrupt nation in the world.

Why is it so?

It's because, there are no more emphasis on the teachings of Jesus Christ, the life He lived, and the examples He set but rather, on giving, self and denominations. There are great competition going on amongst preachers of the gospel than the burden of conversion of souls. They are more interested in the multitude filling up the church, the offerings and donations they give than their salvation. So, their focus is based on money (The Babel and Babylonian messages)


  1. GOD HAS TWO KINDS OF BOOKS.

The book of life and the book of eternal death.

Rev. 20:11-12

The book of life is one while the book of death are many. The question now is, why are there few people going to heaven and multitudes are trooping into eternal lake of fire?

Matt 7:13-14, Lk 13:23-24


II. THE LIFESTYLE OF THOSE WHOSE NAME ARE IN THE BOOK OF DEATH. (LAKE OF FIRE)

Rev. 21:8, Gal 5:19-21

They are the fearless unbelievers, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars. Rev. 21:8

Gal 5:19-21 gave a detailed description such as, adultery fornication, idolatry, witchcraft, uncleanness, drunkenness, backbiters, thieves, fraudsters, haters of sound doctrines.


III. THE LIFE STYLE OF THOSE WHOSE NAME ARE IN THE BOOK OF LIFE.

  1. Those who are truly born again. 1 Pet 1:23
  2. Those who are not hypocrite in the church.

1 Pet 2:16

3. Those who are consistent in obeying God's word. Jn 8:31, Acts 2:41-42
